Spanish-Speaking Researcher

At Bixa, we’re looking to hire market researchers who are fluent in both Spanish and English, and comfortable conducting customer interviews in retail stores in one or more of the following locations:

  • Northern Virginia (Alexandria, Woodbridge)

  • Maryland (Baltimore, Columbia, Laurel)

  • Pennsylvania (Philadelphia)

  • New Jersey (Union)

Work is expected to start in September.

We are open to hiring people in each of these regions, so even you can only work in 1-2 of these areas, please still apply! Preference will be given to researchers who can work at least two of these regions.

The freelancer will be paid for time spent in training and for each in-store interview completed.

Researcher must have their own transportation.

What we’d like to see:

  • At least 5 years of experience working in a marketing, market research, user experience, or related field

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related subject area

  • Familiarity with qualitative market research techniques

  • A researcher who is comfortable approaching shoppers and asking if they might answer a few questions

  • Curiosity for how customers learn about a store, shop, and buy

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English. We will ask you to conduct interviews with shoppers in Spanish, then type the answers to each question in English after the interview.

  • Strong writing skills

  • Excellent teamwork and communication (we’re a small team so this is a big deal)
