1. Payment

Participants will receive a monetary incentive in exchange for participating in an interview. Compensation levels vary by study and will be noted in writing for each. Participants will be sent payment electronically via email within 48 hours. Participants may redeem funds through an e-Gift card or PayPal.

2. Cancellation

Interviews may be canceled at any time prior to the interview, for any reason. If canceled within 6 hours prior to the interview, participants will receive the full compensation amount. No payment will be sent for interviews canceled over 6 hours in advance.

3. How much time will it take?

Interviews will take approximately 30 minutes.

4. How will I join the interview?

Interviews are conducted remotely over Zoom. You will need a computer with a camera. A link will be emailed to you.

5. Will the interview be recorded?

Your video will be recorded and transcribed. Photo, audio, or video recordings (including transcripts) may be used for any use which may include, but is not limited to, trainings, presentations, and industry publications. Videos may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, or distributed. By accepting payment, you waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product, or to collect royalties or other compensation related to the use of your recording. This material may be used in diverse settings within an unrestricted geographic area. There is no time limit on the validity of this video release.

6. How will you protect the information you collect?

As with all research, there is a chance that confidentiality could be breached. We will take steps to minimize this risk. For instance, your full name and company name will not be tied to your responses: information collected will be anonymized.

7. What are my rights as a research participant?

Participation in this study is voluntary. You may withdraw at any time but will not receive payment for an incomplete study. If you decide to withdraw from this study, you must notify Bixa if you do not want the information already collected to be used.
