Market Researcher Role

Are you ready to step into a role that values your market research expertise and fuels your passion for turning data into real insights? At Bixa, we're in search of a Market Researcher who's interested in more than just a paycheck—someone who wants to do interesting work, collaborate with amazing researchers, and make a real impact on the companies we support:

As a Market Researcher with Bixa, you're not just collecting data; you're shaping the strategies of tomorrow. Your work directly influences our clients' strategic decision-making processes. You’ll be working on a fascinating array of projects. From crafting surveys to moderating focus groups and coding data, your days will be filled with excitement and intellectual stimulation.

Here’s what you’ll be doing day-to-day at Bixa:

  • Craftsmanship in Question Design: Take pride in developing discussion guides and surveys that are not just well-written questions, but strategic tools designed to unlock profound insights. We don't just ask; we understand. For quantitative surveys in particular, we think ahead to the specific analysis models that we will be using to analyze the data and design questions based on client objectives as well as analysis techniques. We work with our clients to explain the rationale behind question structures.

  • Moderating Qualitative Research with Elevated Conversations: We don’t just read an interview guide; we facilitate discussions with participants that will answer the key research questions our clients need to know. Conversational skills are a must because you'll be using probing techniques to spark illuminating discussions and unearth invaluable insights from participants.

  • Data Synthesis that Transforms Numbers into Strategic Power: Transform raw data into data-backed actionable insights through meticulous coding and analysis. Identify trends and patterns that hold the keys to fresh strategies your clients haven’t tried before. We seek analysts who go far beyond reporting the numbers. We seek out people with general business and marketing knowledge who know how to strategically use the numbers to transform strategy.

  • Client Engagement: Our clients aren't just partners; they're collaborators in our journey. At Bixa, you will be meeting with clients to understand their needs, educate them on research methodologies, and deliver presentations that leave them inspired and informed. Much of this comes down to using data to create compelling stories that stick in the minds of clients and that they can retell internally for years to come.

Soft Skills Required:

  • Curiosity to learn about (and become an expert in) a wide array of topics and industries.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport with participants and clients alike.

  • Strong written communication skills to create clear, concise, persuasive presentations where you are telling the story of your data.

  • Consulting and/or agency background preferred, with experience in client-facing roles.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Primary research experience in both qualitative and quantitative techniques. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in quantitative data analysis tools such as SPSS.

  • Proficiency in remote tools such as Google Suite, Zoom, and Trello.

  • Secondary market research experience is preferred, though not required (e.g., market assessment, competitive analysis, TAM/SAM/SOM market sizing)

  • Apply only if you are located in the United States.

If you're seeking a career that's more than just a job—a career that empowers you to shape strategies, unleash insights, and inspire clients—then Bixa is where you belong. Join us, and together, let's transform data into strategic power!
