Great Leadership = Great for Business
Research shows that the effectiveness of your leadership system is directly related to your organization's performance. This is especially true in rapidly changing environments (such as IT and Digital) and competitive landscapes (such as government contracting).
The Leadership Circle Culture Survey measures the health of your leadership system—the culture of leadership in your organization. The Leadership Culture Survey is the most comprehensive assessment available today to measure and provide insights on the overall health and effectiveness of the leadership in your organization.
Who is assessed?
The Leadership Culture Survey provides powerful, practical insights for a group of leaders, and can be administered for:
- Your entire organization
- A group, division or team (e.g., Digital practice, Commercial group, Human Capital capability)
- A specific demographic (e.g., female leaders or new parents)
- A geographic-based office (e.g., U.S. headquarters, Canadian employees, etc.)
This assessment takes approximately 25 minutes for each participant to complete. We administer the assessment online for ease of use. The survey is available in English, Spanish, Canadian French, and Japanese.
What can we expect?
Based on this assessment, you will learn how your people view their current leadership culture, and how this reality compares to the optimal culture they desire. The “gap” between your current culture and desired culture instantly reveals key opportunities for organizational development.
You will receive actionable insights related to:
- Relationship of your leadership culture to productivity, profits, turnover, and other bottom line metrics
- Priorities to focus your leadership development efforts, with detailed rationale for change
- Cultural challenges specific to acquisitions, mergers, and/or restructuring efforts
- Benchmarking how your leadership culture compares to that of similar organizations
How is leadership measured?
We evaluate leadership based on two specific domains:
Creative competencies (top half of the circle) are well-researched leadership competencies that measure how your leaders achieve results, bring out the best in others, lead with vision, enhance their own development, act with integrity, and encourage and improve organizational systems.
Reactive tendencies (bottom half of circle) are leadership styles that emphasize caution over creating results, self-protection over productive engagement, and aggression over building alignment. These self-limiting styles overemphasize the focus on gaining the approval of others, protecting yourself and getting results through high control tactics. High reactivity has a limiting affect on a leader’s competencies.
The Leadership Culture Survey shows how leadership is showing up collectively. It helps you map a course to the type of leadership culture that will outperform every time. After identifying the gaps in overarching leadership culture, we work one-on-one with specific leaders to make a difference in your organization.
The Leadership Culture Survey works seamlessly with the Leadership Circle Profile, a 360-degree assessment for individual leaders. It uses the same integrated framework, and provides unique results and development opportunities for individual leaders.
After this cultural assessment takes place, our next steps are typically one-on-one: a system of conducting individual assessements and then routine coaching to gain momentum toward transformation.
